Pittsburgh off due to safety concearns

On lap 49 of the Semi Final event of the NAOWS Vizio Indycar Series Event held at the track. Brad Laucher, who drove the #17 Wal-Mart Honda made contact with Kraig Klington's #10 Vavoline Honda, and Laucher was sent into outside wall head on and destroyed his car as he hit the wall at about 220 mph.Fans worried that the entire track had no safer barrier as the race was red flagged for 35 minutes due to the amount time that officals had to remove Laucher from the car.By the time Laucher was sent to hospital,he was pronounced dead.Future Truck Series driver Chris Dandios would go on to win the event.Due to the fatal events that occurred on that day, NOVAR has contemplating of removing the 27 year old track From all scedules.Gatorade will most likey keep the title sponsor in Race 8.Pocono will take its date. Pocono originally had a NOVAR from 1991-2008.But due to lack of fan populary between 2007-2008.It was cut from the schedule.The Gatorade Series will also go to Pocono..
